The Seeds of Love is the acclaimed third studio album from Tears for Fears, originally released in September 1989. A commercial and critical triumph, it debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum by the BPI within three weeks.
In the United States, the album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and was also certified Platinum.
Widely regarded as one of the defining albums of the 1980s, The Seeds of Love features some of the band's most celebrated recordings, including the hit singles Sowing the Seeds of Love, Woman in Chains, Advice for the Young at Heart and Badman's Song.
