Weezer’s original bassist and founding member, Matt Sharp, recently stumbled upon a long-lost analog tape reel of the band’s very first studio sessions. These were the recordings that were responsible for earning the band a record contract for their debut “Blue” album and features raw, untamed versions of their timeless hit songs, like Say It Ain’t So and Undone (The Sweater Song), that made the album an instant classic. Sharp and legendary music producer Joe Chiccarrelli took these recordings to Los Angeles’ famed East/West Studios, where the Beach Boys created Pet Sounds and Sinatra recorded My Way, to take a deeper look into this mysterious reel of 1-inch Ampex tape. What the two men quickly discovered was the original lineup of the group in an explosively joyful and feral form.
Making the decision to honuor the original era and intention of the music, the songs were remixed from top to bottom, from tape to vinyl, in a 100% analog process. With Sharp as executive producer and Chiccarelli on the mix, the result of these sessions makes up the entirety of the new Weezer album titled 1192 (named after the month and year it was originally recorded.) The illuminating spirit of the performances on 1192 are guaranteed to give fans a whole new perspective on the origins of the blue album and stand on its own right as a significant and crucial entry into the band’s catalog. We send our packages via Royal Mail. While we endeavour to get your purchase to you as quickly as possible, once it has left our depot it is out of our hands and we cannot be held responsible for any packages arriving later than expected.
Packaging
All our items are packaged in good quality cardboard packaging which should prevent any damage during transit. Please kindly note that any clingfilm or shrink wrap around the item is not considered part of the product.
Returns
If you decide that a product is not suitable within 30 days of delivery, you can return it to us at your own cost for a replacement or refund. Returns must be unused and in their original, undamaged packaging. Return address information will be included with your purchase.
If a product is damaged please get in touch so we can resolve it quickly for you.
Refunds
Refunds will be issues to the card that was used to purchase the item.
Refunds for returned items will be issued once the item has been received and checked.
Undelivered Packages
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address being supplied or because it was not collected from a local depot, an additional postage fee will be payable in order to resend. We will contact you to arrange this before anything is resent.
